The last will and testament of “Wllm Shackspeare of Stratford upon Avon in the countie of warr [Warwickshire] gent”, signed by same. Shakespeare died on the 23rd of April, 1616; he caught a fever after attending a “merry party” held by his friend Ben Jonson.
The will is viewable online, with a transcript, at the U.K.’s National Archives website.
