We will not be told how to interpret our physical freedom by legislators who don’t even know how the human body works. We will not be silent. We’re not going away.
Women will decide this election…time to vote!
I really don’t need to tell you guys that there has never been an election more important for women. We are the majority now and we have the power to decide who wins. Let’s not elect the guy who wants to roll back our rights to the 1950’s. I’d like to stay in this country.
Dear Ms. Fluke,
I am so happy I found your blog tonight. Ever since you stood up in congress and fought for women’s reproductive rights, I have wanted to write and thank you; because you spoke for me that day. I was sixteen when I started taking the birth control pill. I wasn’t sexually active, but had recently lost one of my ovaries to an ovarian cyst. I have always wanted children, so I immediately went on the pill toprotect my ability to have a family when and how I chose to. When the debate over birth control was going on in congress, I could only watch in horror and write frantic letters to my senators and congresspeople. However, you stood and spoke with my voice and the voices of thousands like me. When they tried to silence you, you refused to back down and be quiet. Now, under Obamacare, I will never have to worry about whether or not birth control will be available and affordable. You are, quite literally, my hero. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I really cannot say it enough: THANK YOU.Sincerely and with all my respect and admiration,Rebecca
A message from Barack Obama to Planned Parenthood supporters and basically everyone who thinks women are people too. This is one of the many reasons why he gets my vote again this year.
